Mongolian and Italian MPs express readiness to develop inter-parliamentary cooperation

Inter-Parliamentary Group B.Purevdorj held a virtual meeting with Member of the
Italian National Parliament and Chairman of Italy-Mongolia Group in the
Parliament Mr. Alessandro Pagano on April 26.
At the outset of the meeting, MP B.Purevdorj expressed
gratitude to Italy for its active participation and investment in the COVAX
Facility as a member state of the European Union and informed the Mongolian
Government’s ongoing ‘MNT 10 trillion Plan for health protection and economic
recovery’. He also emphasized that inter-parliamentary active relations and
cooperation are the basis to strengthen and develop Mongolia-Italian
cooperation in economic and social fields.
During the meeting, the sides exchanged views on matters including increasing the volume of bilateral trade turnover, developing science and technology-based cooperation in the healthcare sector, and sharing experiences on matters of mutual interest.
Stressing that inter-parliamentary cooperation
especially cooperation between bilateral friendship groups plays an important
role in the aforementioned directions, the bilateral delegates reciprocally
expressed their readiness to collaborate in further activating
inter-parliamentary cooperation and bring results by using the potential of
economic ties.
The virtual meeting was attended by MPs and Members of Mongolia-Italy Inter-Parliamentary Group A.Adiyasuren and Ts.Sandag-Ochir, Ambassador of Mongolia to Italy Ts.Jambaldorj as well as members of the Italy-Mongolia Group in the Italian National Parliament and other officials.
