COVID-19 infection cases rise by 1,356

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ At 11 a.m., today, April 30, the Ministry of Health provided updates on the COVID-19 situation in Mongolia. 


According to the Ministry, 1,356 people were tested positive for coronavirus after testing over 10,000 people nationwide on April 29. 1,190 of the newly confirmed cases were reported in Ulaanbaatar city while 138 in rural areas. Also, 28 imported cases were recorded in the last 24 hours. They arrived on charter flights from India and Kazakhstan on April 23 and 26 respectively. Of them, 18 were Indian nationals.  


As a result, the number of confirmed coronavirus cases in Mongolia has reached 35,979. In the past 24 hours, 923 people have recovered, making the number of recoveries 19,642.


Unfortunately, eight people have died due to the COVID-19 complications, and the death toll has now reached 110. 


A total of 4,746 people are receiving treatment in 30 hospitals of Ulaanbaatar city and hospitals of rural areas, of whom 112 are in very critical health condition.
