Ambassador to France receives French researcher Marie Favereau

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The Ambassador of Mongolia to the French Republic, Mr. A.Battur received Ms. Marie Favereau, a professor of history at the University of Paris-Nanterre and an associate researcher at the University of Oxford, to discuss about her recently published book “The Horde. How the Mongols changed the World” (Harvard University Press) as well as the increasing interest among French publishers and readers about Chinggis Khan studies and documents. Researcher Marie Favereau noted that she is working on the Chinggis Khan exhibition project which is programmed by the History museum of Nantes and studying actively subjects related to the Chinggis Khan Empire period.

 

Ambassador A.Battur expressed his satisfaction with the enrichment of books and works about the history of Chingis Khan and Mongolia by French researchers specialized in the Mongolian studies.

 

They agreed to continue working together for the Nantes History Museum exhibition project, as well as the “Golden Collection-999” project, an initiative of the Diplomatic Academy of Mongolia to collect books in foreign languages related to Chinggis studies.
