Humanitarian assistance to be provided to India

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. On April 30, the Government of Mongolia decided to provide USD 1 million as humanitarian assistance to help India deal with massive surge in COVID-19 cases in the country.


In connection with this, the Government of Mongolia has resolved to hand the humanitarian assistance of USD 1 million over to the Indian Red Cross Society at the request of the country’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.


Moreover, the people of Mongolia have raised about USD 50 thousand for the people of India within #TogetherForIndia campaign.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of India and Indian Red Cross Society expressed their sincere gratitude for the heartfelt assistance of the Government of Mongolia and its people.


The assistance will be transferred to the ‘PM CARES Fund’, under the Prime Minister of India.
