519 new cases of COVID-19 reported

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The Ministry of Health reports that 519 new cases of COVID-19 were reported in the past 24 hours.


Of the new cases, 461 were recorded in the capital city, 52 in rural areas and five hospital-acquired cases were also detected. Moreover, one person who arrived on a charter flight from India on April 16 was tested positive for coronavirus by his/her repeated tests.


A total confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Mongolia now stands at 50,618. In the past 24 hours, 805 people were discharged from hospital, making the number of recoveries 44,391.


Unfortunately, eight people died due to the COVID-19 complications and the death toll has reached 235.
