Export Promotion Council holds its third meeting

Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/. The 3rd meeting of the Export Promotion Council headed by Minister of Foreign Affairs was successfully held on June 4 at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.


The meeting, chaired by Deputy Foreign Minister B.Munkhjin, reviewed the implementation of the first phase of the ‘Mongolian Export’ Program approved by the Government in 2018, and approved the action plan for the second phase of the program.


More than 50 officials representing the member organizations of the Council virtually attended the meeting.


As a conclusion of the meeting, the participants unanimously approved the decision of the Council to continue the implementation of the ‘Mongolian Export Program,’ which is aimed at increasing non-mining exports of Mongolia, in 2021 and 2022.


At the meeting, organizations that are implementing some export promotion projects of Mongolian partners- the US, Japan and EU, provided information regarding the projects. In addition, specialists of Geneva-based International Trade Center attended the meeting virtually and gave a presentation on ‘Road map of trade and investment of Mongolia’.
