Buses to run to new airport from 4 locations in the capital city

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. On June 14, the working group in charge of moving the operations of Buyant-Ukhaa International Airport to the new Chinggis Khaan International Airport at Khushig Valley held a meeting to discuss the progress of the preparations being carried out as of June 11. 


Prior to the meeting, executives and corresponding experts of customs and specialized inspection as well as airline companies became acquainted with preparations and normal operations of equipment. Director of Civil Aviation Authority of Mongolia (​MCAA) N.Myagmarsuren reported that the progress of total works being carried out in preparation for the opening of the new airport is at 85.1 percent.


The Chinggis Khaan International Airport is planned to be put into operation on July 4.


 

In connection with the works being carried out to establish the main route to reach the new airport from Buyant-Ukhaa airport alongside moving of operations, certain decisions have also been made regarding the matters by holding meetings with corresponding companies and organizations. 

 

During the meeting, Deputy Head of the Transportation Department of the Capital City Yu.Byambadorj also introduced plans for public transportation routes to the new airport. As of currently, the department plans to run buses in route to the airport from 4 locations in the city.
