Mongolia receives another 92,490 doses of Pfizer/Biontech vaccines

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. The purchase of 2.35 million doses of Pfizer/Biontech vaccines, funded by the Government of Japan and coordinated by the United Nations Children's Fund started on June 16, 2021, and has so far received 417,690 doses in six separate batches.


On July 20, 92,490 doses of Pfizer/Biontech vaccines were received, and on July 28, another 132,210 doses will arrive.


The purchase and supply of Pfizer/Biontech vaccines will continue until the end of this year. This will allow the vaccination of over 290,000 children aged 12-17, pregnant women and other unvaccinated people. To date, 57.2% of the Mongolian population has been fully vaccinated.
