Mongolia-Cuba Parliamentary Group Chair meets Cuban Ambassador

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. Chair of the Mongolia-Cuba Parliamentary Group, Member of the State Great Khural (Parliament) B.Bat-Erdene today received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Cuba Raul Delgado Concepcion.
At the outset of the meeting, Ambassador Raul Delgado Concepcion noted the successful expansion of diplomatic relations between Mongolia and Cuba and wished to work together to further strengthen and develop the bilateral relations, while thanking the State Great Khural for its continued support.
He also briefed on the situation of COVID-19 pandemic in Cuba and said that the vaccination rollout is successfully running. Moreover, the Ambassador noted that the government of Cuba made a decision to keep the country’s borders open despite the difficult times of the pandemic to support its tourism sector.
In his turn, Member of the State Great Khural B.Bat-Erdene expressed gratitude to Cuba for regularly providing scholarships to Mongolian students, and investing in education and health sectors of Mongolia.
In addition, the sides
exchanged views on the other issues of mutual interest.
