Second Morin Khuur Festival in U.S. to take place in October

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. The Second Morin Khuur Festival in the U.S. will take place at the University of California, Berkeley.
Initiated by ‘Khuurchiinkhan’ Morin Khuur Learning Center, the festival was organized for the first time in 2019 by the Mongolian Cultural Organization at the University of Michigan.
During
the first festival, a conference on the topic of the instrument was held
alongside a competition for amateur morin khuur players and performances by
professionals as well as students with aims of encouraging Mongolians to
further study the culture and promoting Mongolian culture in the U.S through
morin khuur.
