Women making up 82.8 percent of staff at educational institutions nationwide

/MONTSAME/. During the 2020-2021 academic year, men made up 17.2 percent and
women made up 82.8 percent of the staff at all levels of educational
institutions, reports the National Statistics Office.
With
the average age of staff being 40, 8
out of every
10 people in the field are women.
67.4
percent of all kindergarten teachers, 45.9 percent of school teachers, and 30.8
percent of university teachers have a salary ranging between MNT 420 thousand
to MNT 1.1 million.
Of
the total number of kindergarten and school teachers who have reached
the age of retirement, 21.8 percent work at kindergartens and 19.1 percent are in
charge of teaching primary school children, while 7.6 percent teach
mathematics, 4.7 percent teach chemistry, and 4.5 percent teach the Mongolian
language subject.
In
addition, the study has found that 8 out of every 10 kindergarten teachers, 7
out of every 10 school teachers, and 2 out of every 10 university teachers live
in ger districts nationwide.
