Meeting held between Parliament Speakers of Mongolia and ROK

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. Speaker of the State Great Hural G.Zandanshatar on September 8 met with Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Korea Park Byeong-seug in Vienna, Austria, and exchanged views on the development of bilateral relations and cooperation.
Speaker G.Zandanshatar underscored that the relations between Mongolia and the Republic of Korea have expanded in all areas at the level of “Comprehensive Partnership” and last year marked the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
The sides noted that the high-level reciprocal visits and dialogues are important in expanding bilateral relations.
The sides also reaffirmed their commitment to support and intensify the ‘Northeast Asia Cooperation Initiative for Infectious Disease Control and Public Health' and the ‘Ulaanbaatar Dialogue on the Northeast Asian Security’.
Speaker G.Zandanshatar expressed his intention to hold visits regularly between the parliaments and friendship groups of the two countries and invited the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Korea Park Byung-soo to visit Mongolia. Speaker Park Byung-soo having expressed his appreciation for the invitation extended his invitation to the Chairman G.Zandanshatar to visit the Republic of Korea in the near future.
