Willingness expressed to upgrade Mongolia-France relations to ‘comprehensive partnership’

September 13, Member of the State Great Hural and chair of Mongolia-France
parliamentary group in the State Great Hural J.Chinburen received
representatives led by chair of the French-Mongolian friendship group in the
Senate of France Philippe Mouiller.
At
the beginning of the meeting, MP J.Chinburen briefed that Mongolia-France
parliamentary group consists of four MPs. Highlighting that Mongolia-France
relations have been developing for 55 years at the level of “Friendly relations and cooperation”, MP J.Chinburen expressed his willingness
to upgrade bilateral relations to ‘Comprehensive partnership’. Moreover, he emphasized
that the role of parliamentary groups of the two countries is of utmost
importance to elevate the bilateral relations.
Chair
of the French-Mongolian friendship group in the Senate of France Philippe
Mouiller expressed his delight with paying an official visit to Mongolia, and noted
that he has been elected as the chair of the group for the first time. He
expressed his hope that the cooperation between the parliaments would become
more concrete and effective as a result of the visit.
Expressing
the commitments of the members of the friendship group to expand cooperation,
he said that the Senate stands ready to support bilateral cooperation in the
fields of education, health and economy.
At the meeting were Vice President of the French Senate, Member of the Senate’s
Committee on Culture, Education and Communications, vice chair of the French
Mongolian friendship group Nathalie Delattre, Member of the French Senate, Vice
Chairman of the French-Mongolian friendship group Pascal Martin, Member of the
French Senate Marie-Pierre Riche and Secretary of the French-Mongolian
friendship group Xavier Verne.
