/MONTSAME/. Khentii aimag’s general hospital has been supplied with the
state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment for gastrointestinal endoscopy provided
under ADB-supported Fifth Health Sector Development program.

Gastrointestinal
cancer is the third most common cancer among residents of Khentii aimag. The
equipment is essential in the early detection and diagnosis of gastrointestinal
diseases and will save the patients from having to travel to Ulaanbaatar for
tertiary hospital service.
