Parliamentary Standing Committee Chair meets Chinese Ambassador

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ On September 17, B.Battumur, Member of the State Great Khural, Chair of the Standing Committee on Security and Foreign Policy, Member of the Mongolian-Chinese Parliamentary Group in the State Great Khural, received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to Mongolia Chai Wenrui.
At the beginning of the meeting, Standing Committee Chair B.Battumur said that he highly appreciates the Ambassador’s contributions to expanding good neighborly relations and trade between the two countries. He emphasized that the March visit of Chinese Defense Minster Wei Fenghe was of great significance in strengthening comprehensive strategic partnership and elevating defense relations between the two countries. “We have to regularize experience sharing events between parliamentary standing committees, friendship groups, and secretariats to deepen the cooperation between the legislatures of the two countries,” the standing committee chair added, expressing his pleasure with the development of bilateral relations and cooperation in economic, defense, cultural, educational, and scientific sectors.
Ambassador Chai Wenrui underscored that high-level meetings have been regularly held between the two countries despite the pandemic. The Ambassador said that the National People’s Congress of China attaches great significance to strengthening the ties between the parliaments of the two countries and undertook to make efforts to deepen cooperation in all sectors.
