Foreign Minister delivers opening remarks at 'Model UN'

a part of the ‘UN Week’ campaign on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of
Mongolia’s accession to the United Nations, ‘Model UN’ meeting launched on
October 22.
Minister of Foreign
Affairs B. Battsetseg, Resident Coordinator of the United Nations in Mongolia Tapan
Mishra, Director of School of International Relations and Public Administration of the Mongolian State University (MSU) S.Battulga attended the opening
ceremony.
Highlighting that a wide
range of measures are being implemented by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for
celebrating the historic anniversary, and promoting the importance of
Mongolia's accession to the United Nations to the public, including children
and youth, Foreign Minister B.Battsetseg wished success to the participants in
expressing the country’s position, they represent in an innovative way and addressing the problems faced world.
A total of 81 students are participating in the meeting to run discussions representing 16 countries, under the theme ‘Multilateral
Cooperation and Climate Change under the circumstance posed by Covid-19
pandemic’.
