Gasoline import increases while diesel import drops

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. Mongolia has imported 509.3 tons of gasoline in 2021 so far, according to the statistics of Mongolian Customs General Authority. The figure represents 66 percent decrease compared to the same period of the previous year, while it is  8 percent increase compared with 2019.


As for the diesel fuel, 889.6 thousand tons have been imported in 2021, showing a decline of 3-10.1 percent compared with the previous two years.  


In the first 11 months of 2021, 51.5 thousand passenger cars were imported to Mongolia, showing an increase of 5.3 percent compared to the same period of the previous year, and  22.6 percent decrease as compared with 2019.


As for trucks, the import reached 24.7 thousand in the first 11 months of this year, 28.3 percent decrease  against the same period of previous year.
