Ulaanbaatar /MONSTAME/. On December 15, Enkhiin-Od Sharavjamts, also known as Mongolian Mike, announced on his social media account that he chose to play for Dayton Flyers /University of Dayton/ in Division I of the NCAA men’s basketball, turning down the scholarship offers he had received from Rutgers Scarlet Knights /Rutgers University/ and Providence Friars /Providence College/.

Being recruited to the Flyers, Enkhiin-Od is now one step closer to his dream of playing in the National Basketball Association (NBA). According to the NBA’s rule, “one-and-done”, he will be able to declare himself eligible for the NBA draft after playing at least one year of college basketball.

He set off to the United States in 2018 and played for Legacy Christian in Xenia, Ohio in the 2018-2019 season before transferring to Prolific Prep in California, where he played the last two seasons. In August 2021, he joined the International Sports Academy (ISA) and will graduate in 2022.
