General government budget expenditure increased by MNT 1.7 trillion in 2021

Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/. According to the preliminary results
at end of the 2021, the total revenue of the general government budget was MNT
14.3 trillion, increased by MNT 3.8 trillion (36.5 percent) compared to the
previous year. The equilibrated revenue of the general government budget was
MNT 12.7 trillion increased by MNT 3.2 (34.1 percent) trillion compared to the
previous year.
On the other hand, the total expenditure and net lending was
MNT 15.6 trillion at end of the of 2021, resulting in deficit of MNT 2.9
trillion decreased by MNT 1.5 (34.5 percent) trillion compared to the previous
year. In December 2021, the total equilibrated revenue and grants of general
government budget was MNT 1.0 trillion, decreased by MNT 4.0 billion (0.4
percent) compared to the previous month. The total expenditure and net lending
were MNT 2.0 trillion, increased by MNT 678.2 billion (49.9 percent) compared
to the previous month. The equilibrated balance of the general government
budget was in deficit of 270.3 billion in October, in deficit of 339.2 billion
in November and 1.0 trillion in December 2021.
In 2021, stabilization fund revenue increased by 3.8
percentage points and non-tax revenue increased by 0.9 percentage points while
tax revenue decreased by 2.5 percentage points and the future heritage fund
revenue decreased by 2.2 percentage points compared to the previous year. In
2021, tax revenue reached MNT 11.3 trillion, increased by MNT 2.8 trillion
(32.3 percent) compared to the previous year. This increase was mainly due to
MNT 1.1 trillion (48.9 percent) increase in income tax revenue, MNT 673.1
billion (42.4 percent) increase in social security revenue, MNT 628.2 billion
(28.4 percent) increase in value added tax revenue, MNT 202.3 billion (27.3
percent) increase in foreign activity revenue.
According to the preliminary results of December 2021, tax
revenue reached MNT 920.0 billion, decreased by MNT 19.0 billion (2.0 percent)
compared to previous month.
At end of the of 2021, income taxes revenue increased by 3.2
percentage points, social security revenue increased by 1.5 percentage points
while value added tax revenue decreased by 0.8 percentage points, excise taxes
revenue decreased by 1.8 percentage points, other taxes revenue decreased by
1.8 percentage points and foreign activity revenues decreased by 0.3 percentage
points compared to the previous year.
In 2021, general government budget expenditure and net
lending was MNT 15.6 trillion, increased by MNT 1.7 trillion (12.2 percent)
compared to the previous year. This increase was primarily affected by MNT 1.9
trillion (17.8 percent) increase in current expenditure compared to the
previous year. In December 2021, the general government budget expenditure and
net lending was MNT 2.0 trillion, increased by MNT 678.2 billion (49.9 percent)
compared to previous month.
This increase was primarily affected by MNT 772.9 billion
(4.1 times) increase in capital expenditure and MNT 210.8 trillion (19.0
percent) increase in current expenditure compared to the previous month.
