Minister of Environment and Tourism B.Bat-Erdene holds virtual meeting with Ambassador L.Saynaa

of Environment and Tourism B.Bat-Erdene held a virtual meeting with Ambassador
Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Mongolia to Bulgaria L.Saynaa.
At the outset of the meeting, Ambassador L.Saynaa noted that the
relations and cooperation between the two countries have been successfully developing.
“It has been 72 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations between Mongolia and Bulgaria. There is a full
opportunity to expand bilateral relations, elevating cooperation to a new level.”
Noting that “Bulgaria is very interested in
our country's tourism. In the past, about
300,000 tourists from Bulgaria visited Mongolia”, the Ambassador affirmed her willingness to cooperate in
promoting Mongolia to the world by delivering latest information about the country through the 48 diplomatic missions of Mongolia abroad.
During meetings with
authorities of the Bulgarian
Association of Hotel and Restaurant Service Owners, the Chamber of Commerce and
Industry and the Association of Owners of Airlines, they expressed willingness to promote the culture and historical relations between the two countries through
the tourism sector. In addition, they showed an interest to cooperate in the
field of trade, economy, science, education, culture, labor and social protection, said Ambassador L.Saynaa, noting that there are ample opportunities for cooperation including sharing practices between media
staff of the two countries, involving entities at international exhibitions, and exchanging experts in the field of tourism
education with Bulgaria.
In
his remarks, B.Bat-Erdene said, “the Government has defined
the tourism industry as an priority sector for recovering the economy. Last week, the
Tourism professional council was established under the Minister of Environment and Tourism and held its
first meeting. We had met with authorities of foreign airlines to discuss the solutions
to attract tourists around the world to Mongolia.”
