National Tourism Forum kicks off

Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/. Under the auspices of Minister
of Environment and Tourism, the ‘National Tourism Forum’, which is being
co-organized by the Mongolian Tourism Association and Tourism Development
Center, kicked off at ‘Khun’ theater of the Sky Resort on April 4.
The forum aims to increase the participation of local associations and experts, strengthen mutual cooperation, improve professional skills in line with the 'New Revival Policy', and establish a mechanism of cooperation between the Ministry of Tourism and the Mongolian Tourism Association.
Within the framework of the 'New Revival Policy', the
Government of Mongolia has set a goal to develop the tourism industry, increase
economic growth, ensure the development of the tourism regions, and develop
creative and cultural industries based on local history, culture and ethnic
heritage.
Minister of Environment and Tourism B.Bat-Erdene
noted, “The tourism sector will be developed with the support of
local professional tourism associations, defining the policy and planning to be
implemented in tourism sector in the next 20 or 30 years.”
Authorities of the Department of Environment and Tourism
from 21 aimags and representatives of tourism associations are attending the
forum.
