Mongolia, Czech hold 5th inter-ministerial consultative meeting

Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/. The 5th consultative meeting between foreign ministries of Mongolia and the Czech Republic was held on April 7 in Prague.
The meeting chaired by Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of Mongolia B. Munkhjin with his Czech counterpart Jiri Kozak.
The parties had an exchange of views on the current
political, social and economic situation in both countries, the development of bilateral
relations and cooperation, and issues of mutual interest
The Ministers unanimously agreed that trade, economic and
people-to-people ties play an important role in the traditionally friendly
cooperation between Mongolia and the Czech Republic while expressing an
interest of Czech businesses and investors to invest and cooperate in Mongolia.
In the conclusion of the consultative meeting, the parties
decided to increase the quota for Mongolian skilled workers to work in the
Czech Republic. As of today, there are more than 11 thousand Mongolian
expatriates in Czech, and the Czech Embassy issues a work visa to about 1000
Mongolians per year.
Deputy Minister B.Munkhjin welcomed that the Czech
Parliament is discussing the ratification of the Agreement on Cooperation in
the field of social protection between Mongolia and the Czech Republic and is increasing
the quota for Mongolian skilled workers to work in Czech.
