Interest expressed to sell Mongolian wool and cashmere products in Brest Free Economic Zone

Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Mongolia to the Republic of Belarus B.Bayarsaikhan visited the Brest region of Belarus on May 21-22.


During his visit, the Ambassador held a meeting with the Chairman of the Brest Oblast Executive Committee Yuri Shuleiko, Brest Mayor A.Rogachuk, Chairman of the Brest Border Protection Committee Sergey Yakuta, and Head of the Brest Free Economic Zone M.Samolazov.


At the meeting, Ambassador B.Bayarsaikhan requested to pay attention to increasing mutually beneficial trade between the two countries, intensifying traffic flow through the Brest border checkpoint, which is the main gateway for delivering Mongolian products to be exported to the European market, and conducting freight shipment without disturbance.


Chairman of the Brest Oblast Executive Committee Yu.V. Shuleiko gave a detailed presentation on the trade and economic situation, in particular agricultural production, customs and the free economic zone in the region.


Head of the Brest Free Economic Zone M.Samolazov expressed willingness to cooperate in the introduction of Mongolian goods, including wool and cashmere products to the free economic zone.
