Over 100 photographs presented at ‘Miracle of Altai’ exhibition

Bayan-Ulgii /MONTSAME/. On May 30, a photo exhibition titled ‘Altain Tumen Gaihamshig’ (lit. Miracle of Altai) opened at the Musical Drama
Theater of Bayan-Ulgii aimag. The exhibition was co-organized by the World
Wildlife Fund (WWF) Mongolia Programme Office, the Environment and Tourism
Department of Bayan-Ulgii aimag, and ‘Unity’ Photographers' Association.
Opened as part of the 30th anniversary of
the establishment of WWF Mongolia
Programme Office, the exhibition features more than 100 photographs captured by
photographers from Bayan-Ulgii, Uvs, Khovd and Gobi-Altai aimags.
With aims to raise citizens’
environmental awareness, provide ecological education, promote the beautiful
nature of one’s
own homeland, and introduce the pieces created by photographers to the public, the
exhibition unveils intriguing photographs and exhibits depicting nature, wildlife,
and plants as well as the nomadic lifestyle.
“Previously, the exhibition was organized in three aimags, namely Uvs, Gobi-Altai, and Khovd. This year’s event is unique for being organized as a joint exhibition, bringing the photographers’ works to citizens living in rural regions,” said staff of WWF Mongolia Programme Office B.Munkhzorig.
