MNCCI to cooperate with UN to achieve SDGs

Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/. Mongolia-United Nations cooperation
document for the next five years, the United Nations Sustainable Development
Cooperation Framework for Mongolia 2023-2027 (UNSDCF) was signed on May
20. With the signing of the UNSDCF, the
Government of Mongolia and the United Nations are committed to working together
to achieve the national development priorities articulated in Vision-2050, the
long-term development policy of Mongolia, the Sustainable Development Goals and
other internationally agreed development and human rights goals and obligations.
Within this frame, President of the Mongolian National
Chamber of Commerce and Industry O.Amartuvshin met with United Nations Resident
Coordinator Tapan Mishra.
During the meeting, the sides exchanged views on the progress
of SDG -2030 implementation, support being provided by UN as well as a plan of
implementing the UNSDCF 2023-2027. Strategic priorities of the UNSDCF are ‘human
development and well-being,’ ‘green, inclusive and sustainable growth’ and ‘people-centered
governance, rule of law and human rights’.
O.Amartuvshin expressed commitment of MNCCI - the central
business representative organization in Mongolia to act as a leader to promote
SDGs to the public, disseminate and encourage good practices, development
solutions and innovative initiatives.
