Chinese Foreign Minister pays courtesy call on Mongolian PresidentPolitics
Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Today, August 8, China’s State
Councilor and Minister of Foreign Affairs Wang Yi has paid a courtesy call on President
of Mongolia U.Khurelsukh.
Emphasizing the successful development of the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between Mongolia and China, President U.Khurelsukh noted the need of further strengthening relations and cooperating closely even during the times of difficult international situations and pandemic. The President also expressed commitment to intensifying trade and economic cooperation and working together actively for the protection of environment.
Foreign Minister Wang Yi thanked the Mongolian President for the audience and conveyed greetings of Chinese President Xi Jinping. He also reiterated the invitation for the President of Mongolia to visit China. In addition, the Minister expressed commitment to the expansion and development of bilateral relations and cooperation in all areas.
During the meeting, they exchanged views on cooperation in the transport, logistics, mining, energy and infrastructure sectors, the establishment of an economic corridor between Mongolia, China and Russia, as well as on international and regional issues.
