Views Exchanged on Organizing Mongolia-Turkey Tourism Forum

/MONTSAME/. In connection with the
decision of the Government of Mongolia to declare 2023-2025 as “Years to Visit
Mongolia”, the events to promote culture, history, and tourism through auto
rallies will be organized in cooperation with the Government of Turkiye.
Minister of Environment and Tourism B. Bat-Erdene received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkiye to Mongolia Zafer Ateş and exchanged views on this matter. During the meeting, Minister B. Bat-Erdene expressed his gratitude for his support in organizing Turkiye’s Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy’s visit to Mongolia and establishing the codeshare agreement between MIAT Mongolian Airlines and Turkish Airlines.
Dunai-Orkhon auto rally and Mongolia-Turkiye tourism forum are going to be organized.
The parties also exchanged views on holding the Mongolia-Turkiye tourism forum in Mongolia this year and agreed to jointly organize the
East-West Friendship & Peace Rally which will pass through Mongolia in
2023. The rally, which passes from Dunai through Orkhon, has been organized since
2009. As of now, 9000 ralliers have participated in the last 16 rallies. Its
purpose resides in promoting and advertising the culture, history, and tourism
of the countries through where the rally passes.
At the end of the meeting, Minister B. Bat-Erdene handed over the invitation to the Asia-Pacific High-Level meeting on Air Pollution to the Ambassador. This high-level meeting will be held in Ulaanbaatar between March 2-3 2023 in cooperation with the UNESCAP.
