National Workshop on Effective Governance for Sustainable Development in Mongolia

Ulaanbaatar, June 6, 2023 /MONTSAME/. The National
Academy of Governance (NAOG) of the Government of Mongolia, and MONTSAME, Mongolian National News Agency in collaboration with the United Nations
Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UN DESA), through its
Division for Public Institutions and Digital Government (DPIDG) and Project
Office on Governance (UNPOG), and with the support of the UN Resident
Coordinator Office in Mongolia and United Nations Development Programme (UNDP)
in Mongolia, are organizing a National Workshop on Effective Governance for
Sustainable Development in Mongolia on 07-13 June 2023.
The Workshop is being organized in response to the capacity development need, expressed and requested by NAOG and MONTSAME. The Workshop is based on UN DESA’s Curriculum on Governance for the Sustainable Development Goals and aims to promote a critical understanding of sustainable development issues, enhance governance capacity, and strengthen public servants’ awareness of their active role in achieving the SDGs and Mongolia Vision-2050.
The workshop
will be attended by seniors to mid-level public officials drawn from the ministries, departments, agencies, and units engaged in implementing the 2030
Agenda for Sustainable Development and MongoliaVision-2050 and UN representatives,
and other invited international and local experts and officials joining as
resource speakers. The media workshop will be
composed of about 80 media officials from government institutions which include
spokespersons, journalists, communication officers, and reporters.
The Forum will be conducted at the National Academy of Governance, Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, and will be conducted in English.
