Ambassador Sarantogos Presents Her Letter of Credence

Ulaanbaatar, September 27, 2023 /MONTSAME/. The Permanent Representative of Mongolia to the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), Ambassador Sarantogos Erdenetsogt presented the letter of Credence to the ICAO Secretary General Juan Carlos Salazar on September 25, 2023.
Noting that in his statement at the 78th session of the UN General Assembly the President of Mongolia Khurelsukh Ukhnaa emphasized the approval of the Working Paper on “Improving Air Connectivity in landlocked developing countries (LLDCs)” during the 41st Session of the ICAO Assembly, Ambassador Sarantogos expressed her belief that the landlocked countries will work closely with the ICAO for the accomplishment. In addition, she noted that Mongolia is ready to receive high-level representatives of the ICAO in the country next year.
Since Mongolia became an ICAO member in 1989,
it has been actively participating in its activities. This year, Mongolia
joined the ICAO Public Key Directory and ratified the Protocols
on Amendments to the Convention on International Civil Aviation.
