E-Kids Application to Enable Parents to Track Their Kids

platform for public services will have a child protection system e-kids as a free
application to track kids and receive calls.
The e-kids child protection system to be launched next week
will enable parents to track their child's location and receive calls for help not
using internet data to access the system. A call for the free use of
E-Mongolia’s e-kids system has been supported by the Minister of Digital
Development and Communications Uchral Nyam-Ochir and mobile operators
including Mobicom, Unitel, Skytel, G-Mobile and Ondo.
“Although the imperative of any government has
always been to keep its citizens safe and secure, it is a
natural duty of adults and parents to protect their children from cybercrime
and violence,” said Minister Uchral. He commended mobile operator companies for
providing free access to government e-services and the child protection system,
showing a good example of social responsibility, and ethics.
E-Mongolia has sent out an initial notice to its 1.6 million
users and posted instructions on how to download and install the e-kids app on
mobile phones.
Google Family Link, a free app that is supported in many
countries around the world provides parental control to protect
against rapidly growing cybercrime and violence against children. Google Family
Link app is used by many Mongolian parents who are literate in smart
technology.
