Ulaanbaatar, October 23, 2023 /MONTSAME/. A Memorandum of Cooperation between the First Central Hospital of Mongolia and Taipei Municipal Wanfang Hospital of the Republic of China was signed on October 18, 2023.
"A representative from our hospital is visiting Mongolia for the first time since the pandemic ended. Our hospital provides treatment and medical care for cancer, cardiovascular disease, plastic surgery, and neurosurgery. We are confident that through our future cooperation, we can improve the qualifications of Mongolian doctors and medical specialists," said Chun-Jen Huang, Vice Superintendent of Taipei Municipal Wanfang Hospital.
"Healthcare cooperation knows no boundaries. Despite the pandemic restricting real-life relations and cooperation over the past three years, the Taipei Trade and Economic Representative Office in Ulaanbaatar has donated medicines and medical equipment to Mongolian hospitals and supported the training of medical specialists. As part of this Memorandum of Cooperation, we plan to organize training seminars in neurobiology," said Khishigjargal Batsukh, General Director of the First Central Hospital of Mongolia.
Grace Chin-Ru Lo, Representative of the Taipei Trade and Economic Representative Office in Ulaanbaatar, noted that this has been a year of many achievements, and successful cooperation in healthcare between the two countries has continued to expand. Representatives from Taipei Wanfang, Chang Gung Memorial Hospital, National Taiwan University Hospital, and Yuan Rung General Hospital have visited Mongolia. Grace Chin-Ru Lo emphasized that Taiwanese hospitals will cooperate with Mongolia to promote the health of the Mongolian people, in line with the motto "Taiwan can help, Taiwan helps."
