Mongolian State Conservatory Students Successfully Participate in the International Piano Competition

the Mongolian State Conservatory (MSC) participated in the 56th international
piano competition Virtuosi per musica di pianoforte (VMP) held in Ústí nad
Labem, Czech Republic, on November 22-24, 2023.
Deputy Minister of
Education and Science G. Ganbayar congratulated the students and piano teachers
of the Professional Piano Department of the Professional School of Classical
Music of the MSC, who successfully represented Mongolia at the VMP. Teacher at
the Professional Piano Department G. Oyun-Erdene was awarded the Education
Merit Laureate.
The VMP awardees in
four categories:
- B. Gyuen - Grand
Prix or the First Place (4th grade, Teacher G. Oyun-Erdene)
- B. Ochir-Erdene -
Third Place (4th grade, Teacher T. Nyamsuren)
- N. Saruul -
Honourable Mention (7th grade, Teacher N. Ganchimeg)
- T. Oyu - Honourable
Mention (8th grade, Teacher N. Ganchimeg)
- B. Enkhsaruul -
Honourable Mention (7th grade, Teacher T. Nyamsuren)
Also, T. Setsen, 4th
grade, Teacher T. Nyamsuren and B. Margad, 7th grade, Teacher G. Oyun-Erdene,
successfully participated in the Competition.
The VMP is a competition for young pianists under the age
of 16. The ceremonial opening concert took place on November 22 with the
orchestra of the North Bohemian Theatre and the absolute winner from last year
Leon Koval. The 56th annual international piano competition VMP took place
under the auspices of Ing. Jan Schiller, the Governor of the Ústí nad Labem
Region and Ph.D. Ing. Petr Nedvědický, the Mayor of Ústí nad Labem.
