Ulaanbaatar, February 29, 2024 /MONTSAME/. Chairman of the State Great Khural of Mongolia Zandanshatar Gombojav met with President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov on February 28, 2024, during his Official Visit to the Kyrgyz Republic.

Zandanshatar Gombojav, Chairman of the Great Khural of Mongolia, expressed his happiness to meet with President Sadyr Japarov soon after his State Visit to Mongolia, and noted his satisfaction with the implementation of the provisions of the "Joint Declaration of Mongolia and the Kyrgyz Republic on Deepening Friendly Relations and Cooperation," signed by the two Heads of State, which defines the prospects and directions for the development of relations and cooperation between Mongolia and Kyrgyzstan.

President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov conveyed warm greetings to his close friend, President of Mongolia Khurelsukh Ukhnaa. The President of the Kyrgyz Republic noted the active development of cooperation between the two countries in mining, agriculture, animal husbandry, road transport, and humanitarian sectors. In addition, he expressed his satisfaction that the proposal for gold refining with the assistance of technology from the "Kyrgyzaltyn" company is beginning to be implemented in Mongolia. This proposal was put forward by the Kyrgyz side during the Working Visit of Mongolian Prime Minister Oyun-Erdene Luvsannamsrai to Kyrgyzstan in 2023.

During the Meeting, Chairman of the State Great Khural of Mongolia Zandanshatar Gombojav conveyed greetings sent by President of Mongolia Khurelsukh Ukhnaa to President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov. Chairman Zandanshatar mentioned that, as part of the Official Visit at the level of the Chairman of the State Great Khural of Mongolia after 21 years, a permanent mechanism of cooperation between the parliaments of the two countries will be established as a result of the meeting and negotiations with the Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic Nurlanbek Shakiev and Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic Akylbek Japarov. Additionally, The Financial Regulatory Commission (FRC) of Mongolia and the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic have signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation to expand and develop economic, trade, and investment relations. These documents will be important for forming a legal basis in their respective sectors.

It was also mentioned that certain steps have been taken to increase trade turnover between the two countries, to supply Mongolian goods and products to the market of the Eurasian Economic Union through Kyrgyzstan, and to expand mutually beneficial cooperation.
