Ulaanbaatar, March 5, 2024. /MONTSAME/. Mongolian museums are offering free admission days to the public on March 1-7, 2024. On the third day, over 26,000 people visited the museums, exploring a special exhibition demonstrating Mongolia's rich history, culture, traditions, and customs and participating in educational programs.

The total visitors to the museum in Ulaanbaatar included 10,133 adults, 10,575 children, 107 people with disabilities, 1,963 students, and 1,196 elderly people. In 21 aimags, 6,544 citizens observed the museums. Currently, over 800 museum employees are serving the public during free museum days.

In commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the establishment of the modern museum in Mongolia, free museum days are taking place, intending to support the implementation of the goals and measures outlined in Mongolia's long-, medium-, and short-term development policies, and instill national pride and patriotism in children and youth through the exploration of historical and national heritage, as well as works of art.
