Ulaanbaatar, May 15, 2024 /MONTSAME/. Chairman of the State Great Khural of Mongolia (Parliament) Zandanshatar Gombojav received a delegation from the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) led by Senior Advisor on Agriculture of the JICA Shunichi Nakada on May 14, 2024.
Expressing satisfaction over the meeting with honorary delegates, Chairman Zandanshatar noted at the outset the crucial role of Senior Advisor on Agriculture Shunichi Nakada’s Research on the Transition from Predominant Food Consumption to Non-Food Consumption in the Development of Mongolia.
We at JICA are committed to sharing our best practices with the international community," said Senior Advisor on Agriculture Shunichi Nakada. "In this spirit, we have studied the situation in Mongolia and prepared information on Japan's agricultural development, including its current state, the structure of relevant organizations, cooperatives, and other units, as well as food safety practices. We look forward to continued cooperation with Mongolia in the future."
In light of this information, Speaker Zandanshatar expressed eagerness to organize a discussion based on Mr. Shunichi Nakada's study. This discussion is particularly timely, as the Mongolian Parliament is currently debating the draft Law on the Legal Status of Herders.
