Ulaanbaatar, May 22, 2024 /MONTSAME/. The State Secretaries of the Ministry of Education and Science and the Ministry of Culture have approved a joint plan for cultural education at the pre-school level for the academic year 2024-2025.
To foster cultural education among
preschool children, 100 teachers, including methodologists, and music teachers
from kindergartens in 21 aimags and 9 districts, have been trained as Cultural
Education Trainers.
Instilling a comprehensive
appreciation for national values, language and literature, history, culture,
traditions, and patriotism from a young age is crucial for the development of
future Mongolian citizens.
The training provided knowledge on
various aspects, including understanding culture, international trends, the
role of cultural education in infusing national values, and enhancing
children's development through language, literature, and books. It also covered
aesthetic education through music, dance, visual arts, design, and performing
arts, fostering creative thinking.
Moreover, discussions were held on
adding cultural education content into the preschool curriculum, preparing
culturally rich educational materials, increasing accessibility, developing and
implementing cultural education modules for kindergarten teacher training, and
phased training for teachers, outlining future collaborative efforts.
