Constitutional Court of Mongolia to Implement Project Jointly with SDC

Ulaanbaatar, May 22, 2024 /MONTSAME/. On May 20, 2024, acting Chief Justice of the Constitutional Court (Tsets) of Mongolia and member of the Constitutional Court Solongo Shilagarid met a delegation headed by Mr. Laurent Wehrli, a member of the National Council of the Swiss Confederation, and the President of the Foreign Affairs Committee. 

 

At the meeting, Ms. Solongo emphasized that numerous projects, and programs implemented with support and funds from the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) in Mongolia made a significant contribution to the social and economic development of Mongolia.

 

The acting Chief Justice expressed contentment that the Office of the Constitutional Court of Mongolia and the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) are starting a joint project at this historical moment of the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

 

The meeting was attended by members of the Constitutional Court of Mongolia B.Buyandelger, L.Ulziisaikhan,  Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Swiss Confederation to Mongolia Juerg Burri,  Assistant Director General of the SDC Arno Wicki, Head of Cooperation and Consul General Stefanie Burri and other officials.

 

At the end of the meeting D. Bayanbileg, the chairman of the Office of the Constitutional Court of Mongolia, and Arno Wicki, the Assistant Director General of the SDC signed the project agreement on “The Constitutional Court Reform and Democracy, Human Rights’.
