Prime Minister of Japan Cancels Official Visit to Mongolia

Ulaanbaatar, August 9, 2024 /MONTSAME/. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia reported that Prime Minister of Japan Fumio Kishida has canceled his official visits to Mongolia, the Republic of Kazakhstan, and the Republic of Uzbekistan, which were scheduled to take place from August 9 to 12, 2024.


A powerful earthquake struck Japan’s Miyazaki Prefecture on August 8, 2024, prompting concerns about the possibility of a megaquake. The Japan Meteorological Agency has issued an advisory urging residents to be prepared for potential aftershocks.
