Tribute Paid to the Statue of Great Emperor Chinggis Khaan on National Pride Day of Mongolia

Ulaanbaatar, November 2, 2024 /MONTSAME/. On the occasion of the 862nd anniversary of the birth of Great Emperor Chinggis Khaan, the National Pride Day of Mongolia, the National Flag of Mongolia was raised on Sukhbaatar Square, and the State Nine White Banners were honored.

 

The State White Nine Banners were accompanied by the State Honor Guard and the State Special Protection Unit, with ceremonial music played by the orchestra of the Mongolian Armed Forces.


National Pride Day has been celebrated annually as a National Holiday since 2012, by Decree No.4 of 2012 by the President of Mongolia. National Pride Day is celebrated on the birthday of Great Emperor Chinggis Khaan, which is the first day of the first winter month of the lunar calendar.


In honor of the National Pride Day, President of Mongolia Khurelsukh Ukhnaa, Chairman of the State Great Khural Amarbayasgalan Dashzevge, Prime Minister Oyun-Erdene Luvsannamsrai, members of the Government, parliament, public figures and Laureates of Order of Chinggis Khaan, the State Supreme Decoration of Mongolia paid tribute to the Statue of Great Emperor Chinggis Khaan.
