For the first time, Mongolia is displaying its pavilions in both the blue and green zones of the Session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Convention to Combat Desertification.
This year's conference coincides with the 30th anniversary of the UN Convention to Combat Desertification, and is being held under the theme "Our Land, Our Future." The Blue Zone pavilion hosts meetings and events promoting the activities of the government and international organizations. The green zone pavilion, open to the public, is primarily organized by the private sector and non-governmental organizations.
High-level meetings will be held at the blue zone pavilion, where Mongolia will share detailed information about the national-level measures implemented to combat desertification and land degradation. The aim is to present effective measures and experiences against desertification and to promote the country to the world.
The Mongolian Pavilion under the theme "Go Sustainable: Nomadic Heritage, Resilient Rangeland" at the Green Zone will introduce the country’s cultural heritage, policies, and multifaceted initiatives addressing climate change, desertification, land degradation, and promoting green innovation to the international community.
Mongolian governmental and non-governmental organizations, the private sector, and the specialized agencies of the UN in Mongolia are all participating together in this event.
