Mongolia and India to Expand Cooperation in Culture, Sports, Tourism, and Youth Development

On December 17, 2024, Minister of Culture, Sports, Tourism, and Youth of Mongolia Nomin Chinbat met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of India to Mongolia Atul Malhari Gotsurve to discuss ways to expand cooperation between the two countries in culture, sports, tourism, and youth development.
At the meeting, Minister Nomin Chinbat and Ambassador Atul Malhari Gotsurve highlighted the successful ongoing restoration of historical buildings and structures under Mongolian-Indian cultural cooperation, under the guidance of Indian historic preservationists. The two sides discussed ways to intensify the cultural collaboration between the two countries and renew some cooperation documents.
The two sides also exchanged views on specific areas of cooperation, including involving cultural sector personnel of Mongolia in specialized training programs in India, fostering direct collaboration between museum organizations, and establishing a Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in the Film Industry. The two sides agreed to work with pertinent organizations of the two countries to explore opportunities for attracting Indian tourists to Mongolia and establishing direct flights between the two countries under the "Years to Visit Mongolia."
Also, the two parties expressed mutual commitment to actively work towards expanding bilateral cooperation between the two countries.
