Uugantuya Ganbaatar Claims Gold Medal at the Cold Pole Marathon of China

Ulaanbaatar, January 2, 2024 /MONTSAME/. On December 29, 2024, Mongolian athletes successfully participated in the “Cold Pole Marathon of China-2024” winter half marathon held in Genhe city, the People’s Republic of China.
A total of eight athletes from Mongolia, both male and female, participated in the competition. Among them, Uugantuya Ganbaatar, an International Master and athlete from the 327th Unit of the Mongolian Armed Forces, secured the gold medal.
Notably, Mrs. Uugantuya placed seventh in the 2018 Asia 24-hour Championships in Taipei, Taiwan. Additionally, that same year, she took second place at the 225km International Multi-Day Marathon held in Dornod aimag, Mongolia.
