Specialized Surgeries Now Available in Tuv Aimag

Ulaanbaatar, February 21, 2025 /MONTSAME/. The Central Hospital of Tuv aimag has established a sterile vacuum surgery room, and an integrated anesthesia and surgery department, enabling it to perform organ transplants, cardiac surgery, high-risk procedures, neurosurgery, and other surgical operations.
With the launch of the FS209E cleanroom classification "Class 1000" Internationally Standardized Operating Room at the aimag hospital and regional diagnostic and treatment center, the initiative aligns with the Government’s "Decentralization" policy, allowing locals to receive surgical care without delays.
The hospital has developed a four-year plan to expand its surgical department, increase the types of surgeries offered, enhance oncology services, and advance cancer surgery. Efforts are also underway to strengthen human resources and improve medical equipment availability.
