On March 1, 2025, or the starting day of the spring of the Year of the Snake, the Golden Statue of the Great Chinggis Khaan, the Sacred White Banner, and the Golden State Seal of the Mongol Empire Khasbuu were enshrined in the Great Khaan’s Urgoo [The Royal Chamber] at the Chinggis Khaan National Museum of Mongolia.

President of Mongolia Khurelsukh Ukhnaa made opening speech at the Inauguration Ceremony of the Golden Statue of Chinggis Khaan.

"Dear people of Mongolia,

My fellow Mongol brothers and sisters,

Distinguished guests,

I extend my Lunar New Year - Tsagaan Sar greetings to all esteemed guests who have gathered here for this solemn occasion to enshrine the Golden Statue, personifying the grandeur and genius of the Great Chinggis Khan, the King of Kings and the Man of the Millennium, as well as the Great Sacred White Banner and the State Khasbuu Seal in the Great Khaan’s Urgoo.

At this very minute of sunrise, on the starting day of the spring of the Year of the Snake called “Assortment of Gems”, we are witnessing a historic event - the solemn inauguration of the golden statue of Chinggis Khaan, a genius of humanity and the most sacred icon of the Mongols, together with the Great Sacred White Banner and the State Khasbuu Seal in the Great Khaan’s Urgoo.

The Eternal Heaven - Tengri, blessed us, the Mongols, with the sublimest genius, the King of Kings, the Great Chinggis Khaan.

Chinggis Khaan is a great khaan of enormous merit who made an invaluable contribution to not only the history of Mongolia, but also to that of the world and in building the foundation of the progress and development of humanity.

The Great Mongol State, founded by Chinggis Khaan, brought about Pax Mongolica in our world, strengthened the bonds and harmony of nations, linked the East with the West, intensified trade, commercial and cultural exchanges, created favorable environment conducive to spiritual and religious growth, development of culture, art and science, thus laying the foundations of today’s modern world.

Chinggis Khaan had an inborn wisdom and flair of a king. He was an outstanding personality, who inherited the history of the statehood established by our forefathers, and the art of governing the people. He had won the hearts and mind, and had earned the trust of the people.

The Great Khaan possessed a profound understanding of the past, made himself known to others, and was conscious of the future. Very few emperors of this caliber were ever born in history.

We, the Mongols, are a nation blessed with a Great Khaan of heavenly birth, the guarantee of the existence of the Mongols, he is our spiritual fountainhead, someone we are proud of and show off to the rest of world, someone whom we shall forever respect and take pride in.

For this reason, we Mongols must be highly mindful that we are the descendants of a genius of humanity, a powerful khaan, and that we are the protectors and carriers of the very heart and soul of the Great Mongol State. For this very reason, on this auspicious first day of Tsagaan Sar, we must make it a custom to pay homage our Great Khaan.

Oh Great Khaan! We have gathered here, on this felicitous day, to celebrate this Urgoo, symbolizing your Ordo - Palace, unfolding the history of the statehood and culture of the Mongols, starting from the times of the Hun Empire to the early thirteenth century. Oh Great Khan! We beg thee to grace the golden statue, which we shall revere and cherish forever. We beg thee to grace the Great Sacred White Banner and the State Khasbuu Seal, that symbolize peace and stability across the world.

The golden statue of the Great Lord Chinggis Khaan was made with the skill and ingenuity of Mongol artists. It is made of gold from Mongolia in Florence, Italy, the cradle of arts. On this very special day of Tsagaan Sar, a festival of veneration, we Mongols are blessedly fated to make offerings and pay veneration to Thee, the Great Khaan.

We Mongols must forever remember and cherish the will of Chinggis Khaan who bequeathed “Should the golden body become weary, let it. But don’t dare let the Statehood go weary. Should the entire body suffer pain, be it so. But don’t dare let the wholesome State go uncontrolled...”, a sagacious teaching reminding us to put the great statehood first, even before our own lives.

Under the Eternal Blue Sky, may the fame and grandeur of the Great Lord Chinggis protect us, the Mongols, for eternity."
