Altan-Ochir Earns Bronze Medal at the 2025 Special Olympics World Winter Games

Ulaanbaatar, March 12, 2025 /MONTSAME/. The Mongolian Team competing at the Special Olympics World Winter Games Turin 2025 won its first medal on March 11, 2025.


Snowboarder Altan-Ochir Agvaandandar claimed the bronze medal in the giant slalom event, while athlete Enkhzaya Magsarjav took fourth place. The snowboarders will compete in two more events.

 

Special Olympics World Winter Games Turin 2025 is hosting 1,500 athletes from 100 countries, along with 1,000 coaches, 2,000 volunteers, around 100 youth leaders, 500 representatives from media organizations, and over 1,300 guests.

 

This year, 24 athletes from Mongolia are competing in alpine skiing, cross-country skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, dance, and floorball hockey events.
