Ulaanbaatar, March 17, 2025 /MONTSAME/. The Performance Monitoring Unit under the Prime Minister of Mongolia, which aims at solving the pressing problems in Ulaanbaatar City, held its 7th meeting on March 15, 2025.
The Performance Monitoring Unit discussed the Tuul Highway, New Ring Road, Vertical Expressway, insulation of apartments and homes in ger districts in the Green Zone, and some public transport projects. After the meeting, Prime Minister of Mongolia Oyun-Erdene Luvsannamsrai visited B. Tugsjargal’s household, a resident of the 13th khoroo of Bayanzurkh district. It is possible to stay warm at a low cost and live clean, and comfortably, if a household completely solves the heat loss in the house, said Tugsjargal. More than 30 households in the district now have gas stoves. The capital’s authorities stated their plans to take phased measures to provide households in the target areas in other districts with gas stoves.

Prime Minister Oyun-Erdene emphasized, “It is necessary to develop insulation standards and make the public acquainted with low-cost, affordable insulation technologies and materials. The progress of major projects and measures in the capital should be intensified, working in a coordinated and prompt manner. The works to solve the city's pressing issues, including air pollution and congestion, must continue throughout this spring and summer.”
