Ulaanbaatar, March 18 2025 /MONTSAME/. Members of the Working Group supporting the construction of the Second National Oncology Center held a meeting with representatives of the University of Utah on March 14, 2025.

During the meeting, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Mongolian National University of Medical Sciences (MNUMS) and the University of Utah, and the National Cancer Center of Mongolia (NCC). Under the Agreement, faculty members, students, and researchers from MNUMS will be trained at the University of Utah, while medical personnel, including doctors and nurses, will be prepared to work at the newly established Second National Oncology Center.

The Second Oncology Center will have a capacity of 600 beds, with construction set to begin this spring. The facility is expected to be fully operational by 2030.
