Mongolia to Train Young Leaders as AI Ambassadors

Ulaanbaatar, March 31, 2025 /MONTSAME/. The Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation, and Communications of Mongolia, in collaboration with UNICEF, has launched a nationwide initiative to train 1,000 young Mongol leaders as AI ambassadors.


During his visit to Khentii aimag of Mongolia, Minister of Digital Development, Innovation, and Communications of Mongolia Baatarkhuu Tsend met with over 400 students and introduced the “1000 AI Ambassadors” Project. The Minister noted, “Under the National AI Strategy, this Project plays a crucial role in developing a specialized AI workforce and enhancing the country’s innovation capacity. Through this initiative, 1,000 young leaders will undergo various training programs. The AI Ambassadors will organize workshops and activities in rural areas to raise awareness about AI applications and their significance, contributing to digital literacy among citizens. Additionally, the Project will support new initiatives and innovations while exploring ways to leverage AI for social and economic development through tangible projects and activities.”


Also, Minister Baatarkhuu handed over 20 computers to Governor of Khentii Aimag Ayurbunid Damdinjav and tasked him to train 20 students as AI ambassadors.
