National Football Team of Mongolia to Compete in the AFC Women’s Asian Cup Qualifiers Tournament

Ulaanbaatar, April 9, 2025 /MONSTAME/. The National Women’s Football Team of Mongolia will compete in the AFC Women’s Asian Cup 2026 Qualifiers Tournament.


Specifically, the first preliminary match is set to begin on June 23, 2025, which will be Mongolia’s first match of the Tournament. The Mongolian team will be facing opponents from Thailand, India, East Timor, and Iraq during the 12-day preliminary matches. A total of 34 countries will compete across eight divisions in the qualification tournament for the AFC Asian Cup 2026.


The National Women’s Football Team of Mongolia first participated in the AFC Women’s Asian Cup in 2021. Since then, the team has also competed in preliminary rounds for the Olympic Games, East Asian Cup, and World Championship. As of April 2024, the team is ranked 128th out of 193 countries according to FIFA Women’s World Ranking.
