"Ulaanbaatar Amazons" Wins Third Place in Two FIBA 3x3 Women's Series

Ulaanbaatar, May 28, 2025 /MONTSAME/. Mongolia's "Ulaanbaatar Amazons" team won third place in the FIBA 3x3 Women's Series Marseille 2025.

 

For the first time, two teams from Mongolia, "Ulaanbaatar Amazons" and "Mongolia," competed in the tournament. Ulaanbaatar Amazons topped their group by defeating the Philippines 19:16 and their fellow countrywomen's team, "Mongolia," by 16:8 in the group stage. Then, in the quarterfinals, Ulaanbaatar Amazons defeated Hungary's Györ by 13:10 and advanced to the semifinals. However, in the semifinals, Ulaanbaatar Amazons lost 21:12 to Spain, the 2024 European champion and Paris Olympics silver medalist. Overall, the Ulaanbaatar Amazons team finished third with three wins and one loss, earning USD 8,000. With this result, the team finished third in two consecutive series.

 

The Ulaanbaatar Amazons team consists of B. Ariuntsetseg, O. Khulan, N. Nandinkhusel, and B. Bolor-Erdene.
